If it seems like Lake County has been going to hell, that may be because money is the root of all evil. Lake County moneybags & maga-donor Dick Uihlein has been spending quality-time with his checkbook:
Dick Uihlein, the chief executive of the Uline shipping company and a contributor to the Koch donor network, spent at least $2m getting Josh Hawley elected to the US Senate and has contributed more than $4m to the Tea Party Patriots, another one of the 11 groups listed as participating in the Stop the Steal coalition. In 2019, more than $20m was funneled through DonorsTrust, a donor-advised fund that disguises the source of major giving to nonprofits, to a dozen organizations that would ultimately contest the integrity of the 2020 presidential election, including $103,000 to Tea Party Patriots.
The Capitol riot wasn't a fringe 'uprising'. It was enabled by very deep pockets
Uihlein money may have financed the DC Capitol mob, but this fact has not deterred one clean-shaven Lake County politician. State Senator Dan McConchie pocketed $13,300 from Dick Uihlein:
Note to Ops: Beware the company you keep -- unless of course that Company is ULINE.

Amazing. How many Illinois Senators receive millions of dollars from Missouri CEOs?
All that wealth and influence, and this is how it’s squandered. Shameful, seditious self servitude.
