Roskam also should not be confused with former Congressman Phil Crane. Crane did represent that part of Lake County now represented by Peter Roskam. But Phil Crane, who back in the day had a reputation for spending more time overseas than in Washington -- and was known as the Junket King -- lost his seat in 2004.
