Particularly Romney yardsigns. Mitt Romney may have no chance of winning in Illinois, but that doesn't mean operatives aren't on the prowl and looking to steal your Romney-for-President yardsign. At least that's what the tireless tax fighters over at the McHenryCountyBlog seem to believe:

A fellow in McHenry is the one from whose front yard a Romney sign has been stolen six times. He got disturbed enough to wait with a camera. As the thief was pulling the sign out of the grass, he got the photo you see below:

So, what are the chances that an unnamed homeowner would get a blurry daytime photo of some unidentified ne'er-do-well, filching their Romney sign right out of their frontyard? And -- for a bonus -- perfectly framed through the picture window and looking straight at the camera?

Well, by your LakeCountyEye's reckoning, you'd be surprised how often it happens. The Romney-for-President yardsign that had been on prominent display at the LakeCountyEye compound was stolen just this afternoon.
