The political infighting that has overtaken the Island Lake village board in recent years has served mostly as a lesson in ineffective local government. Leaders in other towns should take note, lest they be tempted to allow personal passions to draw them down a similar path. More specifically a problem of perceptions, and one that some aggressive PR damage-control would turn around in a jiffy. And by aggressive PR damage-control your LakeCountyEye means, of course, a new website.

I have followed the career of Laurie Rabbatini from her showing up to a meeting with a pig nose on all the way to her rebuttleling the Herald articles.
All I can say is: Pull the plug on this disaster of an elected official. It is amazing to me that she can actually walk upright.
